A new story begins!
Although only freshly returned from the Thirteenth, there’s little time to rest for your brave adventurer and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.
Far to the west in the nation of Tuliyollal, claimants prepare to compete for the throne of the Dawnservant. As Eorzea’s champion, you’re asked to accompany Wuk Lamat as her ally in this rite of succession – an endeavor which takes you across the glittering seas to the distant continent of Tural.
The contest ahead promises to offer challenges far beyond simple combat. Little by little you’ll start to unravel the mystery of the legendary golden city – and begin a new tale for FINAL FANTASY XIV!
Travel to new parts of the world
Gorgeous landscapes beckon you in FINAL FANTASY XIV: Aubetrail. The continent of Tural is comprised of two landmasses – Xak Tural to the north, and Yok Tural to the south. Each is comprised of beautiful new areas full of amazing sights and sounds.
You’ll get to meet Tural’s many and diverse peoples in two new cities:
Tuliyollal
This striking city marches up the side of a mountain, the path from its coastal harbor to the lofty palace at its summit marked by a profusion of slopes and stairs. Embodying the ideals of the nation with which it shares its name, this ever-bustling metropolis is home to a population drawn from all the lands of Tural.
Solution Nine
A city of towering facades constructed by an entirely different civilization than that of Tuliyollal. As for what chain of events could lead you to such a strange place… well, play the expansion to find out!
You’ll also adventure across multiple new areas, y compris:
Urqopacha
This mountainous region of Yok Tural is inhabited by two peoples of vastly different stature: the child sized Pelupelu, and the gargantuan Yok Huy. Such disparities, cependant, shrink into insignificance before the brooding majesty of Worqor Zormor, the tallest peak in Tural!
Kozama’uka
To the south of Tuliyollal stretch the verdant forests of Kozama’uka. Rivers great and small flow from mountains to the west and pour into the region, creating breathtaking waterfalls. Although the peoples which inhabit the region resemble goblins and the Vanu Vanu, they have each built unique cultures within this vast wilderness.
Yak T’el
These dense woodlands can be reached by dirigibles which cross the mountain range to the southeast of Tuliyollal. The highlands are rich in game and settled by the Xbr’aal. The lowlands, where the thick canopy blocks the sunlight, are inhabited by the Mamool Ja.
The region is dotted with naturally occurring wells, known as cenotes, which are formed when water accumulates in sinkholes.
Shaaloani
The rain-starved plains of this region located in central Tural makes for a striking contrast with the verdant surrounds of its largest lake. The discovery of ceruleum deposits in recent years has brought sweeping change to the area, including the construction of a railroad, even as local peoples maintain their cultural traditions.
Heritage Found
In this region overflowing with lightning energies, thick thunderclouds blot out the sun, while streaks of purple levin illuminate the land day and night.
Explore two new jobs
Aubetrail introduces two new jobs: pictomancer and viper.
Pictomancer is an artistically-minded magical ranged DPS job that lets you use specialized brushes to bring incredible creations to life – from weapons and creatures to stunning landscapes. If you like to dish out damage at a distance – and as creatively as possible – you’ll find much to enjoy.
If you’d rather get up close and personal, you should check out the new viper job. This melee DPS job uses dual blades to deal damage quickly and efficiently at close range. These blades can even be combined into a single powerful weapon.
New dungeons
You’ll have plenty of opportunity to try out the pictomancer and viper jobs in multiple new dungeons. You’ll traverse a treacherous river, explore ancient ruins, climb otherworldly mountains, et beaucoup plus.

A new 8-player raid series: The Arcadion
The launch of Aubetrail brings a new raid series – and it’s something special!
In the Arcadion, the realm’s greatest fighters pit fist against fist and magick against magick, putting their lives on the line as the crowds howl and clamor. Do you dare step into the arena, and if you do, will you rise to become champion or fall forever in ignominy?
The upcoming alliance raid crossover with FINAL FANTASY XI
The next alliance raid beckons you to an altogether different world—Vana’diel also known as the world of FINAL FANTASY XI! Many adventures and challenges await in this highly anticipated crossover series set to release in future updates!
A new ultimate raid: Futures Rewritten (Ultime)
If you’re up for a challenge, Aubetrail will introduce a new ultimate raid. The super-challenging Futures Rewritten (Ultime) will put you and your allies to the ultimate test.
New playable race: female Hrothgar
Ever since the Hrothgar arrived with FINAL FANTASY XIV: Porte-ombres, fans have been excited to see their female counterparts. Now they’re here, opening many new ways to create and customize your Warrior of Light!
The level cap has gone up!
Long-time players rejoice because Aubetrail ups the level cap from 90 à 100. Enjoy that sweet sense of progression as you surge in strength once more.
New lifestyle content: Cosmic Exploration
Take to the stars and work together in a cosmic journey that will fuel your curiosity and creativity.

New graphical update

It doesn’t require Aubetrail, so even if you’re yet to purchase the new expansion, you can still enjoy a much prettier Hydaelyn!
