IGN has chimed in on speculation linking Bloober Team to Nintendo’s new revealEmioand it seems this developer is “probablement pas” involved in this project. Here’s exactly what was mentioned during episode 718 of the Nintendo Voice Chat podcast:

IGN:We have sources that say that it [Emio] is probably not [Équipe Bloober]…we have reputable sources who say probably not a Bloober game.

As mentioned in the original story, Bloober Team is working on a new title calledProjet M‘ “in cooperation with the world’s best game creators for Nintendo platforms”. It will supposedly have asignificantly smallerbudget compared to its usual projects.

Original [Thu 11th Jul, 2024 01:45 BST]:

Polish horror game developer Bloober Team, connu pour des séries comme Couches de peur, Le moyen and Konami’s upcoming release Silent Hill 2, has announced it’s working on a new project for Nintendo platforms.

In an interview earlier this week, Bloober referenced a title calledProjet Mwhich has a budgetsignificantly smallerthan its usual projects and is being developedin cooperation with the world’s best game creators for Nintendo platforms”. Here’s a translation (via ResetEra):

“Projet M, although its budget is significantly smaller than the games we are working on at Bloober Team, is extremely important due to our long-term plans. En plus, we are working on it in cooperation with the world’s best game creators for Nintendo platforms, so we cannot afford to create just a decent game,” Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno told PAP Biznes.

This all times in with Nintendo’s disturbing reveal of a new horror game calledEmio, which it is seemingly publishing. Keep in mind, Bloober hasn’t confirmed what exactly ‘Project Mis at this stage, but unsurprisingly, there’s already been some speculation about the two announcements being linked.

One other part of the same interview has also been highlighted on social media noting how this new Bloober project will appear under its ‘Broken Mirror Games’ marque (thanks, LuigiBlood):

The first announcements of Project M will appear later this year, and the title itself will open our second-party portfolio under the Broken Mirror Games brand

At this stage, there’s also been no official confirmation, or anything similar, suggesting the two announcements are related. Notamment, Bloober’s announcement referencesNintendo platforms” Le site Web mis à jour de Monolith Soft suscite l'enthousiasme de certains fans de Nintendo Switch, so there’s a possibility its project could be targeting Nintendo’s Switchsuccessor which is scheduled to be announced this fiscal year.
