The Wii U generation saw Nintendo embrace online gaming more than the previous generations, et naturellement, les développeurs tiers de l'époque ont profité de cette nouvelle orientation. Malheureusement, these kinds of services have to eventually wind down, and Ubisoft has decided September 1st is the time to pull the plug on online features in three Wii U titles.

In a notice on its official website, Ubisoft mentions how it is closing online services for a selection of older games including ASSASSIN'S CREED 3, Rayman Legends et ZombiU on the Wii U. This decision is so Ubisoft can focus all of its resources on delivering great experiences for players who are enjoyingnewer” et “more popular titles”.

This list also covers a number of PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC releases. By SeptemberWii U players will no longer be able to link Ubisoft accounts in-game or use online features in the above-mentioned titles (this includes multiplayer in AC3). Il est intéressant de noter ASSASSIN'S CREED 3 Remastered et Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition are available on the Switch.

Ubisoft also ended online services for a bunch of Wii and Wii U games earlier this year:
