Ubisoft helps bring Parkour to the 2016 Youth Olympics
Last week, The Mouvement, a community organization that teaches parkour, brought their amazing acrobatic skills to kids attending the 2016 Youth Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. This organization is headed by two of the original founders of parkour, David Belle and Charles Perrière.
“The founders of The Mouvement brought a fresh philosophy of freedom of movement into the world. It’s been an inspiration to us since we created the first Assassin’s Creed game,” said Etienne Allonier, brand director at Ubisoft. “We’re humbled to be able to give back to a sport that has inspired us so much, and to help The Mouvement bring their message and sport to the young people attending the Youth Olympics.”
Charles and Mouvement coaches held indoor and outdoor initiations over 10 days for kids to try out parkour for the first time. To see highlights of the event, watch the video below:
