Adorable Hamster-Car Anime ‘Pui Pui Molcar’ Comes To Switch In Japan
Pui Pui Molcar is a must-watch if you enjoy stop-motion animation, fluffy things, or just want to find out more about an alternate universe in which cars are hamsters. Or vice-versa. It’s as confusing as it is adorable.
A tie-in game, Pui Pui Molcar Let’s Molcar Party!, has been announced for Switch in Japan and Asia, with a release date of December 16th.
The game, as the title implies, is all about partying: your Molcars (that’s the hamster vehicles) find a flyer advertising a place called “Moltown”, which promises carrots galore (that’s what hamster vehicles eat) only to let them down when the Molcars discover that it is, as Bandai Namco puts it, “a barren burg”.
With the power of partying, the Molcars can restore the town to its former glory, which takes the form of ten minigames that you can play with up to four players. There are over 40 Molcars in the game, and you can feed them, pet them, and put little hats on them, just like a real car.
There are a few early purchase bonuses for the physical edition, as well as a collector’s edition that includes a plushie.
Although the game is Asia-only, there is an English-language option.
