Random: The Rock Will Star In A New Video Game Movie
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has told Men’s Journal he’ll be starring in another video game movie – describing it as an adaptation based on one of the “most badass games” that he’s been playing for years.
“I can’t tell you which game in particular we’re doing, but there will be an announcement this year. We’re going to bring one of the biggest, most badass games to the screen—one that I’ve played for years. I’m really excited to bring it to fans around the world.”
Although it’s unlikely to be based on a Nintendo game, that hasn’t stopped some members within the Nintendo community from speculating:
Johnson has previously starred in video game movie adaptations like Doom (2005) and Rampage (2018). He’s also been in games like Fortnite. On the Nintendo front, Hollywood A-lister Chris Pratt will be the voice of Mario in the upcoming Super Mario animated movie.
