SEGA Announces The Mega Drive Mini 2, Boasting 50 Games
SEGA has announced the Mega Drive Mini 2, its next miniature console that will boast an impressive 50 games from the Mega Drive and Mega CD.
Announced during its ongoing broadcast (which you can still watch below), the console will launch in Japan on October 27th, 2022 at a price of ¥9,980 – that’s roughly $75 / £60.
The first Mega Drive Mini launched back in 2019 and came complete with 42 games preloaded, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage II, and Kid Chameleon, and came bundled with 2 wired controllers for multiplayer sessions.
Confirmed games for the Mega Drive Mini 2 so far include:
• Silpheed
• Shining Force CD
• Sonic CD
• Mansion of Hidden Souls
• Popful Mail
