Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Shows Off Stunning Ocean Location
If we can only name one thing we’re really excited about in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, it’s exploring this brand new world. Nintendo has already given us a little look at a few of the locations we’ll be visiting when the game launches next week — all with familiar monuments and creatures. And today, the publisher is giving us another tease to what we can expect from Aionios.
We’ve seen snippets of this gorgeous ocean area before, and even a few screens, but the official @XenobladeJP Twitter has given us a smattering of information that likely clue us into what previous locations this place is made up of.

Just like Millick Meadows and Great Cotte Falls, the Erythia Sea is a beautiful blend of two locations from Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The first game’s Eryth Sea is pretty obviously present here — just look at those stretches of water — but it’s up for debate what 2’s representation could be. Some suspect it could be the Leftherian Archipelago, but there’s also the demilitarised zone of Temperantia.
Regardless of what areas this endless ocean is pulling from, it looks incredible. Who spent way too long swimming in the Eryth Sea, and who is about to join us in doing the same in the Erythia Sea all over again?

We’ll update this article as soon as there’s an official English translation of the tweet! And we don’t have much longer to wait now, as Xenoblade Chronicles 3 launches on 29th July.
