Resident Evil 4’s Separate Ways DLC is out now!

Plus, a free update for The Mercenaries mode is available now.

Somewhere in a rural village in Europe, a village is under the control of Los Iluminados, a group that will soon cross paths with Leon S. Kennedy when he arrives in search of the president’s missing daughter. Before Leon arrives, however, Ada Wong has already infiltrated the village in search of something far more precious to her own mission: an enigmatic material only known as “the Amber”.

Under the orders of Albert Wesker, Ada must infiltrate Los Iluminados and escape with the mysterious substance. What will she do, though, when an all-too-familiar face from the Raccoon City incident shows up with a mission separate from her own?

Providing a different perspective on the main campaign of Resident Evil 4, Separate Ways explores Ada’s side of events and the intersections that bring both stories together, painting the full picture of what happened behind the scenes while Leon and Ashley mounted a desperate escape from Los Iluminados.

The intense pacing and combat of Resident Evil 4 return, with a new addition: Ada’s unique Grappling Gun. Alongside using this exceptional tool to maneuver around terrain and reach distant areas, Ada can also grapple to close in on distant enemies or launch directly into high-velocity melee takedowns. Of course, the gunplay and knife mechanics of the main campaign are also present, giving you all the tools a spy needs to conduct her fieldwork.

In addition, a free update to The Mercenaries mode is also available now for all owners of Resident Evil 4! This update brings Ada Wong and Albert Wesker into the mix as playable characters, adding even more variety to the fast-paced, arcade-style mode.

Finally, prepare to plunge yourself in the world of survival horror when Resident Evil 4 VR Mode comes to PlayStation VR 2 as free DLC this winter, bringing intuitive controls and intense combat to a truly immersive VR experience.
