Update [Sun 20th Feb, 2022 00:45 GMT]: To conclude Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2022, Bandai Namco announced Android 21 (Lab Coat) would be joining the battle next week on February 24.
Original story [Sun 13th Feb, 2022 03:05 GMT]: At the end of last year, Bandai Namco surprised the Dragon Ball FighterZ community with the announcement of another DLC character. The ‘Lab Coat’ version of Android 21 was revealed during Jump Fiesta and was said to be coming soon.
Bandai Namco has now provided a small update – teasing another look at the Android 21 (Lab Coat) at the upcoming Dragon Battle Hour, which will return next week.
Fans of Dragon Ball FighterZ will be able to see the DLC character at “high-level play” in a special tournament made up of representatives from U.S.A West, U.S.A East, Europe and Japan. Here are the rules tied to this character for this special tournament:
“Android 21 (Lab Coat) will be the only character who is not part of the draft. Each player will have to use Android 21 (Lab Coat) at least one time! If a player does not choose Android 21 (Lab Coat) at the beginning of a match, they will only be able to switch to Android 21 (Lab Coat) as a counter pick after losing a match. Enjoy watching high-level play of DBFZ’s new DLC character!”
As previously noted, the ‘Majin’ version of Android 21 was already a playable fighter in the game, and the character is a collaborative effort between Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama and Arc System Works.
This latest DLC announcement follows on from FighterZ Pass 3 – feat Gogeta, Goku, Kefla, Master Roshi and Super Baby 2.
