Bandai Namco Forms New Studio With Pokémon Developer ILCA
The Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl developer ILCA is working on the next entry in the long-running Ace Combat series, and as part of this, it’s forming a new studio with Bandai Namco known as Bandai Namco Aces.
It’s headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. Bandai Namco owns 51 percent of the studio, and ILCA owns 49 percent. The aim is to deliver “deep and lasting high-quality content” including Ace Combat games.
Apart from Pokémon and Ace Combat, ILCA has supported projects like Dragon Quest XI, NieR: Automata, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, and even other Bandai Namco games.
Here’s a message from the team at Bandai Namco Aces:
“Ace” has many meanings, such as “the best,” leading person,” excellent,” and “amazing”. We will continue to focus on quality, where “the best and brightest = Aces” develop “many of the best contents and services = Aces”, and create excitement for fans around the world.
If we hear any developments, we’ll let you know.
