Assassins Creed Syndicate - Tipps für Anfänger
Welcome to London, Assassins! For those of you just starting your adventure in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, we’ve got a few pieces of advice that will give you a little bit of an edge in the war against Starrick and his Templar army. This is part of our larger FAQ and guide series, so if you have any questions about anything in the game (side content, crafting and customization, the Rooks, etc.), we can probably help you out there as well.
Tips and Tricks for Beginners
Writing on the wall – The loading room offers both helpful gameplay tips and fun historical facts, so take a look while you’re starting up the game.
Perks! – As you play you may notice little notes pop up on the left side of your screen. They’ll say things like “Absolutely Stunning 49/75.” This is letting you know you’ve broken an enemy’s guard stance 49 times. But what happens when you hit that magical number 75? This will actually unlock a Perk, which you can find in your Progression menu. Each of these achievements will land you a neat little combat, stealth or ecosystem bonus, like an increase in overall damage or an increase in health regeneration speed.
Line ’em up, knock ’em down – Perfecting the art of multi-kills isn’t easy, but it is helpful (and stylish). In order to perform a multi-kill, you’ll need to get more than one opponent into a “staggered” state, then quickly take them all down at once with a grand, brutal, cinematic kill.
Going in for the kill – Upgrading skills like Slayer and Mutilate (which allow you to put your opponents into that near death staggered state much quicker) will help you immensely in any encounter, but it’s especially helpful when you find yourself in one of the game’s many Fight Clubs, where you have no weapons, no armor and no medicine. Being able to stagger your foes quickly and cleanly will allow you to progress through the rounds of Fight Club more easily, but it’ll still be a challenge as you take on higher-level opponents.
Toughen up – Each mission will also have a recommended difficulty level, but you can always attempt a mission no matter what level it suggests. Das sagte, things may not go your way if you’re pursuing a level 9 mission while you’re at level 4. You could very quickly find yourself overwhelmed. If you’re at the right level and still find yourself struggling, check to make sure your gear is upgraded. On top of being able to equip higher-level weapons and equipment, you can also spend a little cash to upgrade what you already have on.
Fast and furious driving – Ecosystem skills like Driver and Demolition Derby will serve you well when you start taking part in more carriage-related side missions like the A to B Races. With Driver, collisions will hurt your carriage less, and they won’t slow you down as much. Driver II makes you accelerate faster. Demolition Derby turns your carriage into a force of nature, inflicting a lot more damage when you hit other vehicles, while also taking less damage.
Help your friends out – Associate Activities are a great way to earn gear in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. If you like close-quarters combat, Henry Green’s activities are the way to go, as he offers upgrades to the intimidating kukri blades. Conversely, if long-range attacks are more your style, Frederick Abberline offers a useful pistol upgrade if you complete enough bounty hunts off the bat.
Stop and smell the roses – Take your time. Do some sightseeing. When you’re on the train, approach one of the windows and just lean against it to enjoy the passing London scenery. You can even scroll through a few different camera angles for different shots of the train making its way down the rails. Sure, you’re on an important mission, but even Master Assassins need to take a breather every now and then.
Did you hear that? – Listen closely. Do you hear something that sounds like a music box? You are likely very close to one of the many Secrets of London scattered across the map. These music boxes each contain a piece of a massive mechanism that will unlock a mysterious treasure once you collect all of them. It’s just another reason to take your time as you explore London.
Step lightly – If you want a little bit of extra security while sneaking through Templar strongholds, Assassin Steps is a good upgrade to go for right away. It not only reduces damage when you jump down from high spots, but it also muffles the sound of your footsteps. This makes it easier to sneak up on unsuspecting guards and kill them without being detected at the last second. If you’re playing as Evie, Assassin Steps is even more crucial. You need to have it before you can unlock her extra-stealthy Chameleon skill, which helps her blend into the environment.
What time is it? – If you’re ever curious about what time it is in the game, just listen for Big Ben. The clock actually keeps the correct in-game time.
Secrets – We don’t want to spoil anything, but after you’ve been playing for a while, take a trip over to the far east end of the Thames River. You might find a special surprise waiting for you.
