Cougar today introduced the Envision, a high-resolution game capture and streaming box. The Envision supports display passthrough of resolutions as high as 4K at 60 Hz, or 1440p at 144 Hz; which recording video at resolutions of up to 4K @ 30 FPS, or 1440p @ 60 FPS. An interesting feature here is support for AMD FreeSync, so your HDMI 2.0 passthrough can retain support for the technology. Besides the passthrough, the box connects to your PC over a 5 Gbit/s USB 3.1 Gen 1 Verbindung, with a type-C connector out of the box (which is how it sends video back to software for recording or streaming).
