E3 2022 Cancelled, Including the Online Event
[ad_1]
The Electronic Software Association (ESA,) the body organizing E3 (Ausstellung für elektronische Unterhaltung), is reportedly sending e-mails informing top marketing reps from the gaming industry that it has cancelled E3 2022. This includes the online/digital event that was meant to succeed last year’s event. This is yet another sign that trade-shows cannot be organized in the digital format, and that merely clumping a few participants’ online events across a schedule does not amount to a trade-show, a major aspect of which are the human interactions during and beyond each individual event, or the show-floor—something not possible in the digital format.
