Octopath Traveler II ist 90% Komplett laut Square Enix

Announced during September’s Nintendo Direct Showcase after heavy rumour of its existence, Octopath Traveller II is coming to the Switch in early 2023. In einem aktuellen Interview mit Famitsu, developer Square Enix sat down to discuss just how far through the process it is with the game and we are pleased to see that the February 24th, 2023 release date appears very much probable.

In a segment of the conversation (übersetzt von Noisy Pixel), the studio confirms that Octopath Traveler II is currently 90% of the way through development, urging fans to wait a little longer before it reveals more information on the upcoming HD-2D JRPG.

“We’re excited to finally announce to everyone that Octopath Traveler II’s development is 90% Komplett. We are currently in the last stretch, so we ask that you wait just a little bit more. Keep an eye out for further information coming out at a later date.”

Square Enix recently shared 20 Minuten Octopath Traveler II gameplay footage at this year’s Tokyo Games Show, so it is clear that the game is indeed close to completion.
