Willkürlich: Dieses Versehen “Verflucht” Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Mod verwandelt alles in einen Albtraum

We’ve all had that moment where we’re messing around with a game’s files, and we accidentally turn the world into a strange, wrong-coloured nightmare, where all the trees are screaming and the sky is as black as a void, richtig? Nicht? Ah, you’re missing out.

Postposterous — whose video about Link’s sunburn we covered last week — has been poking around in the game’s memory like a curious brain surgeon lately, and he’s made someinteressant discoveries.

Once I find an area I know has some visual impactI just change stuff randomly and ‘see what happens’,” he tells us. “Next thing I know, the trees went wonky and I knew I was onto something…”

These discoveries led to the video above, which includes weird purple fire, super-speed clouds, black water, and strangely iridescent lakes that Postposterous describes asListerine”.

Oh, and by the way, these are the figures that Post has been messing around with:

Much like a brain surgeon poking around at areas of grey matter to see what they do, Postposterous has had to figure out what each number does, mostly by messing with it.

I definitely discovered how to turn the burning embers on and off — the ones that happen when you’re about to go into a blood moon reset. Definitely discovered wind speed. Definitely now have the ability to walk underwater (just got make the camera follow correctly). And a host of other things that affect the way the graphics draw.

Have these random, accidental discoveries led to any new mod ideas? “Absolutely,” er sagt. “There’s a whole underwater world that needs exploring! And if I can make the wind blow enemies awayimagine how hilarious that would be!

Stay tuned for Link’s Underwater Adventures some time soon, dann…
