Triturador de bestias te coloca en el papel de Skipper, un valiente ratoncito que tiene la tarea de matar a un gigante (bien, a un ratón de todos modos...) bestias que amenazan la vida pacífica de los pueblos y asentamientos poblados por otros adorables animales. Lo haces participando en el juego, que es una parte del juego de pinball., juego de rol estratégico de una parte, que demuestra ser una combinación sorprendentemente excelente con muchas ideas interesantes. El objetivo principal de cada batalla es matar a otro monstruo cristalino gigante., cada uno de los cuales se compone de una serie de partes interconectadas con sus propias barras de salud. Solo destruir una de estas partes, el núcleo, matará al monstruo por completo., pero a menudo no tiene un tiro directo o necesita eliminar otras partes antes de poder llegar a él.
Skipper tiene un número limitado de acciones por turno, y luego seleccionas de un menú de ataques que generalmente resultan en que él se arroje hacia la bestia y rebote en su piel cristalina a alta velocidad.. Se le da un indicador de dónde irá la trayectoria inicial, pero Skipper a menudo rebota en varias superficies antes de detenerse. Then there’s the fact that certain actions will build up “Charge” which is a limited resource that you spend to use the more powerful abilities in your moveset. Más, every fight is precipitated by a brief 4X-style interface where you navigate a small board and look for resources to give you an advantage in battle while the beast stalks quietly around the map. It doesn’t take long for what initially seems like a simplistic game to show off that it has plenty more ambition than you may think.
por suerte, the presentation proves to be just as well-executed as the gameplay, going for an aesthetic that seems vaguely flash game-like but has plenty of personality. Character portraits are generally expressive and cute, while the gameplay interface is intuitive and doesn’t get too bogged down in drowning you with details.
Beast Breaker is the epitome of a hidden gem, and we would highly recommend you give it a shot. Like its main character this game may be small, but it proves to be exceedingly effective at what it sets out to do. Creative, engaging gameplay and a surprising amount of depth combine to make for an experience that may surprise at just how much it hooks you.
