El sitio web de Illumination actualiza la fecha de lanzamiento de la película Super Mario para las vacaciones 2023

Siguiendo un rumour earlier this week about the Mario movie’s official title, it seems there have been a few more developments.

Como fue visto por GoNintendo, la Illumination Studios Paris website has actually made some adjustments since Monday. Firstly the name has now been changed to Super Mario Bros. Animated Film – suggesting it’s still a working title. And in addition to this, the same page says the film will be arriving “in theatres holiday 2023”.

WAIT, WHAT?

Sí, así es amigos, the new date written down is seemingly for the end of next year. What makes it even more confusing is the fact the poster next to it still has the old release date of “Y como resultado de eso”. Hopefully, “holiday 2023” is just a mistake.

The last official announcement earlier this year was passed on by Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto, who at the time said the film would be released in April 2023:

“este es miyamoto. Después de consultar con Chris-san, mi socio en Illumination en Super Mario Bros. film, decidimos trasladar el lanzamiento global a la primavera de 2023–abril 28 en Japón y abril 7 in North America. Mis más sinceras disculpas, pero prometo que valdrá la pena la espera.”
