We’re back to our regularly scheduled weekly Japanese charts after last week’s report gave us two weeks’ worth of sales. But there are no real surprises as La renovación de la marca registrada de Silent Hill sugiere la devolución de la franquicia continues to dominate. It sold over three times as many copies over the period of 9th to 15th May as its closest competitor, Japanese favourite Kirby y la tierra olvidada.

The only new entry this week is Square Enix’s FMV adventure El caso del centenario: Presentamos el Caso del Centenario. De hecho, the Switch version is the only version to chart, venta 6,409 copies on the hybrid console.

Just like software sales, hardware sales are mostly the same, with one slight surprise — the Xbox Series S has overtaken the PlayStation 5 to sit comfortably in fourth behind all three Switch models. The Switch is getting ever so close to 25 million in Japan — at this point, we’re watching the clock tick, wondering whether we’ll see those figures hit next week. The 2DS has also snuck up above the bigger, beefier Xbox Series X.
