Exciting things are in the fall air for Phantasy Star Online 2 Nuevo Génesis! On October 13, new content touches down on Aelio in the form of a new class, a new gameplay-based reward system, and a new type of end-game challenge! Read on to learn more about the Bouncer Class, Mission Pass, y Battledia!

The Bouncer class is now available in Phantasy Star Online 2 Nuevo Génesis! This is a nimble class that uses Soaring Blades and Jet Boots as weapons.

Jet Boots

Jet Boots are a unique weapon in Phantasy Star Online 2 Nuevo Génesis, as they are the only weapon type that can have the element of any chosen Technique to cause an additional, elemental attack — this depends on the Bouncer choosing the “Jet Boots Element Set” Class Skill in their Skill Tree.

The Photon Arts of the Jet Boots are also unique, and one worth mentioning is “Spinning Gust,” which provides forward movement coupled with a vertical spin to attack a single enemy. This can be empowered allowing the Bouncer can surprise the enemy with a powerful roundhouse kick as a finishing move.

Soaring Blades

Soaring Blades, a close-range weapon, allow for a variety of attacks with both physical blades and the Photon Blades they can fling. While using a Soaring Blades Photon Art, pressing the PA button again will change the form of the attack. These “Variant Attacks” still allow for unhindered movement and are easy to use while mid-air.

Photon Blades are deployed with the use of the Soaring Blades Weapon Action. This is a long-range attack, useful for keeping pressure on the enemy while repositioning on the field. If the Bouncer has taken the Class Skill “Photon Blade PP Recovery,” Normal Attacks made upon enemies with embedded Photon Blades will restore PP to the Bouncer.

Weakening Enemies with Downs

The Bouncer can contribute to Physical and Elemental Downs of strong enemies more quickly than other classes. These occur when players deal continuous damage to specific areas (weak points) on enemies, and Elemental Downs occur with repeated attacks that correspond to the enemy’s elemental weakness.

Depending on the type of enemy, they may become weakened or stunned, allowing players to inflict heavy damage while the enemy is Downed. The Bouncer is the only class that can deal attacks that cause the enemy’s Down Factor to accumulate more rapidly.

This is accomplished by the Bouncer’s Class Skill “Elemental Decline,” which increases the rate by which an enemy’s Elemental Down Factor accumulates, and the skill “Physical Decline,” which increases the rate by which an enemy’s Physical Down Factor accumulates. Mission Pass NGS Season 1

Mission Pass NGS is a reward system that gives players a way to earn coveted cosmetic and beneficial items, based on completing in-game tasks. Mission Pass NGS Season 1 will be available through November 10. Each Season will feature a new lineup of cosmetics and rewards, so be sure to stay active in New Genesis so you don’t miss out!

The Mission Pass includes 30 Tiers, or points at which rewards are offered, beginning with Tier 1. Those who acquire an N-Mission Gold Pass — a log-in reward from October 13 to November 2 or through the SG Shop or AC Shop — will have access to Gold Rewards. You can reach new Tiers by gaining Stars, awarded for completing various Daily and Weekly Tasks in-game.

Battledia Quests

The Mission Pass isn’t the only thing to be making its debut in New Genesis, as this update will also introduce a new type of end-game challenge: Yellow and Purple Battledia quests! Battledia can be completed with groups of up to 4 jugadores, so they’re great for those who want to play with friends or Alliance members.

Batteldia: Yellow are training facilities accessible by using a B-Trigger/Ael Yellow key at a Trigger Portal. You can earn experience (EXP) while in Battledia: Amarillo, though it is not earned as enemies expire but all at once upon clearing the quest.

Battledia: Purple require a B-Trigger/Ael Purple key to access them. Powerful enemies will appear, and your reward will vary based on how many are dispatched within the time limit. Rewards may include powerful Augments to upgrade your gear or even rare weapon and armor drops!
