Fortnite Season 8 – Dude, what happened to that vending machine that was right there?

So you walk up to a vending machine and you realize there is no cost, you quickly get something before anyone notices and suddenly… it’s gone, vending machine has disappeared.
You look around and wonder what happening, and you start looking for another vending machine, but somehow it’s not there in your favorite spot?
It looks like Epic decided to update 8.1 and make the vending machine free, however after claiming an item from the vending machine, it gets destroyed. It also looks like they got rid of the Common and Uncommon vending machines as well as removing the mounted turret from them as well.
