With the busy month of September coming to an end, publishers are shadow-dropping great-looking games on Switch eShop even in these closing days. Dropsy est the latest one, a point-and-click adventure coming hot on the tail of the most anticipated point-and-click adventure of the last decade or more, and from the same publisher, trop (Retour numérique).

We don’t envy Dropsy following Partout dans le monde, les joueurs d'âge moyen pompent le poing entre deux verres de thé so closely. There’s another cool-looking point-and-clicker launching the very same day that we felt similarly bad for — one we’re already working on a review for, en fait. Malheureusement, our resources aren’t infinite, and with Dropsy being something of a known quantity (it launched on Steam in 2015), something’s got to give.

Believe us, nobody is more acutely aware of the games we’re pas reviewing than we are! In the first nine months of 2022, we’ve published over 200 Commentaires and we do our very best to strike a balance between covering the heavy hitters, seeking out smaller ‘niche’ titres, and highlighting the ever-expanding middle-tier before they get swept away by the next big announcement, event, or release.

It’s been a while since our last Recommandations du lecteur article, and with so many games coming every week — and a commensurate number slipping through our net — we’re inviting you once again to submit nominations for another round of ‘Games We Missed’.

Just as before, we’re looking for some very brief thoughts on Switch games that we didn’t get to review on Nintendo Life. We’ll read all the nominations and pick our favourites in an article showcasing a dozen (ou plus, it’ll depend on the response) of your recommendations.

Below are the guidelines on how to send your recommendations. Please read them carefully if you want to see your entries included in the feature:

Submission guidelines

  • 100-word limit – Keep it brief! A history of the genre and deep dive into every mechanic is unnecessary. Concentrate on what the game is about, what sets it apart from other games, and why you enjoyed it.
  • One entry per game – Feel free to send your thoughts on multiple games, but there’s no need to duplicate.
  • Choose only games that we haven’t reviewed on the site – To check if a Nintendo Life review exists, simply type the name of the game into the search box at the very top of the page (look for the magnifying glass icon in the top left corner) and click on the game page that appears. If there’s no review, you’re good to go!

How to send a recommendation

  • Head to Nintendo Life’s Contact page and select the subject “Switch eShop Hidden Gems” from the drop-down menu (it’s already done for you in the link above). Type your name, e-mail, and beautifully-crafted message into the appropriate box, hit send — and Bob’s your uncle!
