Rockstar Games is currently being hammered with refund requests from those who purchased Grand Theft Auto: La trilogie – Definitive Edition following a host of problems, including glitches, performance woes and – in relation to the PC version – the inability to actually play le jeu.

Rockstar has pulled the PC version from sale after players encountered problems with the Rockstar Launcher, but the company then stated that it would also be removing filesunintentionally included” (thanks, Eurogamer). These are most likely the songs that are present in the code but aren’t actually available in-game.

Cependant, it’s not just PC owners who are asking for their cash back – console players are equally annoyed with the state the game has been released in.

Comparisons are already being made between GTA Trilogy and Cyberpunk 2077, which experienced a disastrous launch last year and was eventually pulled from Sony’s PS4 digital storefront, with refunds issued to buyers.

Florida-based Grove Street Games is the studio behind the GTA ports, and the company’s CEO and owner Thomas Williamson has assured buyers that fixes are incoming – however, based on the current backlash, those same buyers might not wait around long enough to find out.
