Did you play with wooden train sets when you were younger? How about making little toy scenes in your living room? Imagination is a key part of everyone’s development as a child, but the fun doesn’t have to stop when you’re grown up.

We don’t think the fun does have to stop, and nor do the thousands of Pistes – Le jeu du train joueurs. With the game hitting Xbox One on November 14, we cannot wait to see what you all come up with!

Des pistes starts you off simple with some wooden train tracks, which you can twist and turn at your will. It’s when you open the toybox, quoique, full of skyscraper buildings, clocktowers, fontaines, vehicles and much more, that you can really start to let your imagination run wild. Hop into the driver’s seat and ride the rails at any time to see your creations to scale.

We’ve been blown away by the amount of depth and creativity players have poured into their worlds so far, and so we wanted to showcase just a couple of them to give you a taste of the sorts of things you can create when the game finally hits Xbox One and Windows 10.

We were particularly impressed by Darious
use of multiple objects to create ‘Queen’s Cross Station’, seen in the image
above. In the trailer towards the top of this blog, you can see that driving
into the train station in first-person is quite the breath taking experience,
especially when you’re the size of a little wooden person!

Pistes – Le jeu du train

This island world by Des pistes player Frank makes wonderful use of environmental features.
In addition to a busy town area and skyscraper buildings, the focus is on
greener landscapes, utilising various tree types, rocks and ground colours.
There’s no shortage of airborne transport either, as you’d expect for an island
– a helicopter, a plane and a hot air balloon can all be spotted.

Pistes – Le jeu du train

Hidden around the opposite side of the
island is an industrial area, with wind turbines, lorries and factories, sur
with little warehouse workers in hi-vis jackets. This world proves that Tracks
is about much more than just wooden trains – it’s an entire toy sandbox at your
fingertips.

Hopefully this blog has got your brain cells firing – and that’s without even mentioning the track boosters, fireworks, musical bells, fog and snow effects, train customization and much more. We’re excited to see what you all come up with when the game launches for Xbox One and Windows 10 on November 14! If you’re a Twitter type, make sure to post your screenshots and clips with #TracksXbox and we’ll retweet some of our favorites!
