Mortal Kombat 2021 Movie Reboot obtient une suite

Last year saw the return of Combat mortel on the big screen and it seems the reboot has been successful enough to score a sequel.

Selon une exclusivité sur Deadline, New Line Cinema has hired Jeremy Slater to write the Combat mortel 2 script. He’s the head writer of the upcoming Marvel/Disney+ series Chevalier de la lune. En dehors de cette, nothing else is really known about the sequel just yet, but according to Slater it will be “bigger and better and bloodier”:

The Mortal Kombat (2021) reboot made its debut in theatres and HBO Max last April and had a US domestic box office opening of $22.5 millions, which wasn’t bad at all considering mature rating and other factors in play like the pandemic.
