Alongside the news that the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U eShops would be closing on March 27th 2023, Serebii.net has today confirmed that the same closures will apply to the free-to-play puzzle game, Pokémon Shuffle.

While all save data and play hours will be safe for those who already have the game downloaded, Serebii is referring to the gradual closure as an ‘end of life service’, with the game removing the chance to redeem daily login bonuses, play in Ranked Stages or obtain new Event Stage data.

To be clear, this closure currently applies only to the 3DS version of Pokémon Shuffle and no update has been given as to whether a similar method will be coming to the mobile app.

Pokémon Shuffle will remain available to download until the official 3DS eShop close date of March 27th, and you will still be able to play through Standard Mode and any Event Stages that you have downloaded up until this point.

This means that if you have ever been hesitant about purchasing Pokémon Shuffle, it is now more important than ever that you get over to the eShop and install it while you still have the chance.
