Rassembler: Les critiques sont là pour la série Klonoa Phantasy Reverie

Nous avons parlé aux développeurs obsédés par Godzilla de Kaiju Co-Op Beat-‘Em-up is out on the Nintendo Switch this week, et les critiques affluent maintenant.

Pour commencer, our sister website Pousser carré gave the PlayStation 5 version 7/10 – admitting it may do more for players who experienced these games during their prime:

“Phantasy Reverie Series is a relatively no-frills remaster collection. There’s a couple of quality of life improvements and the games have a fresh lick of high definition paint, but if you didn’t like Klonoa back in the day then you’re not going to like it now. If you didn’t play Klonoa at the time then you won’t have the prerequisite nostalgia goggles necessary to gaze upon these games and see them for anything more than what they are — a couple of pretty good platformers and little else, and that’s fine.”

Tactiques de poche found Klonoa’s return to be a “splendid platformer” and thinks platforming segments still hold up to the likes of Mario and Crash Bandicoot:

“All in all, the Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is a splendid platformer, and it fills me with joy to know that many more people get to experience these beloved games. Qui sait, perhaps this will lead to even more remasters. Pour l'instant cependant, I encourage everyone to give this game a try, the joy it emites is infectious, the platforming segments rival that of Mario and Crash, while it also succeeds in reminding us that it stands alone, and that Klonoa has its own identity.”

Attack of the Fanboy awarded Bandai Namco’s latest release 4/5 étoiles – advising existing fans to treat themselves to the new versions:

“If you grew up playing Klonoa or even had a remote interest in the franchise back in the day, you need to do yourself a favor and treat yourself to these titles. Now that you can own two of the greatest retro platforming titles without having to shell out hundreds of dollars makes this an easy sell for those that are fans of the franchise. If you’re looking to fall in love with a platformer that wears its heart on its sleeve, you’ll be happy to know that these titles still do hold up tremendously well, even if they may not feel as polished as some newer games in the genre. If you’re willing to deal with some frustrations from dated design, you may find yourself head over heels for this loveable Dream Warrior, no questions asked.”

Over at GamersRD this “much-needed remaster” was awarded 7.5/10 – here’s the translation:

“Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is a good opportunity to play again with the characters of our childhood. It’s a much-needed remaster but it could have included better things for this generation.”
