Rumeur: Nintendo Leaker partage les détails d'un nouveau “Achevé” Fire Emblem sur l'interrupteur
Emblème du feu fans are feasting right now. We’re just a little under two weeks away from the release of Guerriers de l'emblème du feu: Cinématique OlliOlli, a Musou game set in the Emblème du feu: Trois maisons monde. Three Houses itself has been hugely successful for Intelligent Systems on Switch. Et Héros de l'emblème du feu continues to be extremely popular with fans.
Yet there’s more to come for those that love this strategy RPG series. Known Nintendo leaker and Nintendo World Report contributor Emily Rogers has revealed that Intelligent Systems has been working on a new Fire Emblem game for the Switch — and it’s a brand new game, not a remake or a rerelease.
Rogers shared the details of this over on Famiboards, where she states that the game is a collaborative effort between Intelligent Systems, Guerriers developer Koei Tecmo, and Gust — a division of Koei Tecmo and creators of the Atelier série. Rogers also has some tidbits about the potential new entry:
Here is what I can share about the new Fire Emblem game.
– Upcoming Fire Emblem is a new game, not a remake. Brand new story.
– Collaboration between Systèmes intelligents, Koei Tecmo et Gust (division of Koei Tecmo Holdings).
– Gust heavily assisted with the visuals / graphics. Graphics are an improvement over “Trois maisons”.
– Originally intended as an anniversary game to celebrate FE’s 30th anniversary. The game has been finished for over a year.
– Main character (main lord) has strange red and blue hair. His mother is a dragon.
– New “Emblèmes” gimmick allows players to summon “FE characters from the past” for your squad.
There are some really interesting things we can pick out here — the fact that Emblems will be used to summon fan-favourite Fire Emblem characters sounds really fun. Aussi, we think Gust’s lovely cel-shaded visual style would work perfectly in the Fire Emblem universe; regarde juste Atelier Sophie 2: L'alchimiste du rêve mystérieux! Et, lastly, the game is already finished — and has been for a year.
That last one is particularly interesting, because if the game is ready, and has been for more than a year, when will we be getting it. We’re already getting a new Fire Emblem game this year with Three Hopes — albeit it isn’t a traditional strategy game — so would Nintendo release a second in 2022? It wouldn’t be the first time as Emblème du feu: The Sacred Stones et Emblème du feu: Path of Radiance both launched in 2005 en Amérique du Nord et en Europe, but perhaps Nintendo will hold out until next year.
We’ll have to wait and see if this turns out to be true!
