160_[ASSASSINS_CREED]_S_[Jerusalem]_[HighPoint1]

As part of the lead-up to the release of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, we’ve spent the last few months playing through all of the “main” Assassin’s Creed games in turn, rediscovering firsthand the changes each one contributed to the series. It’s been a long and entertaining journey, and it’s enabled us to create eight informative videos that demonstrate exactly how climbing, free-running, fighting and covertly stabbing Templars has evolved since the series’ beginnings. With our video series now complete and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate about to arrive, follow the links below to discover what each Assassin’s Creed brought to the party.

Assassin’s Creed – How It All Began

Our introduction to Altair Ibn La’Ahad and Desmond Miles brought us into a new world of parkour, swordfighting and beautiful historical re-creations. Find out how the series’ origins shaped its future.

The second Assassin’s Creed was the first in a long line of massive changes for the series, bringing it to the Italian Renaissance, adding a ton of new features and giving us the charmer known as Ezio Auditore da Firenze.

Ezio’s second adventure shifted the focus to a single city, Rome, and gave players the chance to recruit and cultivate their very own Assassin brotherhood. It also added multiplayer, letting you stalk and stab your friends online.

Assassin’s Creed Revelations – An Explosive Evolution

ACI_ACRThe final chapter of Ezio’s adventures

took him to Constantinople, where he slid down ziplines with a hookblade, crafted his own arsenal of bombs and met the second love of his life.

Jumping ahead in time to the American Revolution and switching its focus to the wilderness, Assassin Creed III introduced Connor, an English-Native American Assassin who brought sweeping changes to combat and exploration.

Creed IV Assassin Black Flag - Evolution sur la haute mer

ACGA_SP_61_CaribbeanSea_Spyglass

This was the game that taught us that pirates and Assassins go together like chocolate and peanut butter. Putting players in command of a pirate ship in the 18th century Caribbean, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag let us battle and capture ships, harpoon sharks and spend probably way too much time ferreting out hidden collectibles.

Creed Rogue Assassin - une teinte plus foncée de Gray

ACI_Rogue

Continuing in the nautical mold of Assassin’s Creed IV, Creed Rogue Assassin brought its share of innovations to the table, not the least of which was a perspective switch from the Assassins to the Templars. Being hunted by the Assassins could get a little stressful, but seeing their ancient war from the other side was a fun departure.

Unité Creed Assassin - Une nouvelle ère de changements
