Director Combat Data – Final Mission: Escape
Hi everyone! This is Exoprimal director Takuro Hiraoka here to tell you about some exciting new additions to the game in Title Update 2!
Our goal with the title updates for Exoprimal is to add new content that changes the way you play and experience the main Dino Survival mode in an exciting way. For the first TU, we added the Variant Alpha Exosuits, which brought a fun new element of strategy to the player character. For this second TU, in addition to new rigs for the Exosuits, we are adding a new Ocean Platform map and the new final mission Escape, both of which change the nature of Dino Survival itself and bring a new experience to Exofighters. Today, I’d like to share some details about the Escape mission type.
Escape is a new kind of final mission that can occur during Dino Survival. Previous final missions have been based on the theme of competing against the other team, but Escape is about cooperating with them. When you hear Leviathan announce the final mission is Escape, you’ll have the surprising experience of suddenly needing to cooperate with the opposing team who you had been competing against until that point.
The mission is divided into two broad phases, during which you must cooperate as a group of 10 Exofighters to follow Leviathan’s orders, not all of which will be straightforward. First, in the escape preparation phase, you’ll try to capture as many of the marked areas on the map as possible within the time limit. Exofighters will receive upgrades such as attack or defense boosts depending on the number of areas secured, so better performance here will be an advantage in the second phase. Capturing all the areas will be very difficult, especially as you will be teaming up with your foes from previous missions, but try your best!
Once the area capture phase is over, you’ll proceed to the escape phase. Your goal is to get all Exofighters to the exit safely, in the midst of a huge amount of dinosaurs. Among the upgrades you can earn is one where crafting is automatically replenished, so crafting a lot is definitely a viable strategy.
If you can get not only yourself but the whole team out safely, you’ll be awarded a special medal which grants not just additional score but further rewards, so be sure to try for a full-team escape. Each time an Exofighter successfully escapes through the gate, extra time is added to the amount of time before the gate closes, so it’s essential not to give up until the absolute last as you try to secure the escape of every last Exofighter!
I hope you enjoy the thrilling experience of teaming up and trying to escape during the short time window the gate is open. Remember, we’ve also added the new Ocean Platform map as well, which broadens the possibilities of Dino Survival even further and will see all kinds of new situations occur during gameplay. See you in the wargames!
That wraps up the insight on the “Escape” Final Mission from Director Hiraoka!
To summarise – Ready yourselves for a multi-phase experience where your rivals become allies and you must first secure key territory locations to bolster your 10-player team with buffs to aid in your escape.
After all, you’ll need all the support you can get when the second phase kicks in and you must reach the escape gate before it closes. There will be a huge amount of dinosaurs throughout this mission, challenging your PvE skills and teamwork as you seek to hold your ground and escape.
Remember, if you all escape and leave no Exofighter behind, you’ll be rewarded!
One last thing to aid you in surviving “Escape”, this Final Mission can occur on any Field, not just Ocean Platform. Prepare yourselves accordingly, Exofighters!
