INDIE Live Expo To Take Place Over Two Days In May
The INDIE Live Expo has become another consistent part of the online streaming scene, especially for those passionate about smaller download-only games. Typically with a major Summer and Winter stream each year, it’s also been characterised by the sheer length of the streams (6 hours+) and often including a significant number of reveals.
One issue is that large parts of the show can focus on existing titles, which isn’t necessarily what everyone tunes in to see. The organisers seem to be reacting to that and expanding this year, confirming that the event will run online over two days on 21st and 22nd May.
Day one will focus on games “that fans can play right now”. Day two “will feature world premieres of brand-new, unannounced games, and new information on previously-announced titles, along with an “INDIE Studios Around the World” feature and live performances”. Both days will start at 4pm JST, which is 8am UK / 9am CET and 3am Eastern.
As was the case with previous streams it’ll show on various platforms such as YouTube and Twitch, and will simulcast in English, Japanese, and Chinese.
They’ll no doubt be a busy couple of days for Indie game enthusiasts.
