We’re beginning to build a profile of a good Assassin’s Creed hero. Disrespectful nonchalance is good, playful recklessness is a bonus. A character who’s not so married to the Assassins’ cause that they slip into worthy preaching – leave those claims of infallibility to the Templars. The story of Aveline, heroine of this formerly Playstation Vita-based spinoff, promises to deliver the good stuff: spirited disobedience, and abusing the trappings of class to win her way in 18th Century New Orleans.
