Logitech collabora con i ragazzi & Club per ragazze per sostenere gli adolescenti locali – logi BLOG
In 2021, Logitech partnered with the Teen Tech Center located in the San Leandro Boys and Girls Club to power the center with mice, NVIDIA ha annunciato oggi l'ultima novità nella tendenza della personalizzazione dei PC con marchio, webcam, microphones and more. The partnership provides a pathway to connect teens to real world career opportunities, including introductions to mentors and brainstorming different career pathways they might not otherwise have thought of.
Quest'anno, Logitech was fortunate to work with the Boys and Girls Club San Marcos, CA for the 2024 Charity Classic. Since 1994, Best Buy has hosted their signature fundraiser, the Best Buy Foundation Charity Classic to help create opportunities for teens to unlock their passions and reach their dreams. Initiatives like Best Buy Teen Tech Centers host programs that provide teens with hands-on, high-tech experiences.
As part of the Classic, in the Teen Tech Center of the Boys and Girls Club, over the course of four short months, Logitech employees built strong relationships with each one of the teens and created a tailored project plan for three in particular: Dean, JJ and Julian. The goal was to create a custom designed, enlarged 3D printed mechanical keyboard. As one of the two industry mentors, Logitech helped support the squad to demonstrate all aspects of the design from key feel, ergonomics, materiali, circuitry and more. Each month focused on different phases, starting with exploration and brainstorming ideas into ideation, cultivating community and celebration all throughout. Through this series of virtual sessions, the teens were advised on showcase elements and seeing the project to completion.
Pushing through printing challenges with determination, the completed keyboard was transported to Minneapolis, MN where the Charity Classic attendees had the opportunity to test out the keyboard and take Logitech’s speed typing test. It not only looked great, but the functionality had hundreds of people stopping to stare and take the typing test. The teens exceeded their goals and 3D printed the team bow ties and over 600+ fidget pieces as our gala giveaway. Many onlookers were pulled into the contest, engaging the teens to speak to their project – even presenting to Best Buy’s CEO Corie Barry. With the teen trio’s commitment to level up their project and further aim to support others in their community, their project was put up for the gala’s auction, donating all proceeds to the Susan G Komen breast cancer organization, a cause near and dear to the teens. Not only were there several bids for the keyboard, but Corrie Berry herself went back to bid a second time, winning the keyboard.
