It would perhaps be the understatement of the year to say that splatoon 3 has been a big hit. The game has broken records with the sheer quantity of sales that it has made in Japan and the same can be said across the world. The game has been come un grande successo, infatti, that even Google has got in on the action.

Getting a Google interactive Easter egg on your search is like having the popular kid in school come to your party – it’s a sign that you are in the big leagues – e splatoon is now most certainly part of that crew.

As pointed out by Vai Nintendo, if you search for Splatoon, splatoon 2 or Splatoon 3 on Google at the moment, you will notice a small splat animation taking place just under the suggested game page. Clicking on said splat will let you click anywhere on the search engine to send a blob of ink flying onto your search results.

While hardly the most entertaining of Splatoon’s game modes, it sure is nice to see the Inkling infatuation (or the Octoling obsession) spread further than many of us thought possible.
