A caso: 'La grande onda’ Incontra Zelda: Wind Waker in questo modello incredibile
There’s a type of video game collectible that’s classy enough that your parents and non-gaming friends might not even notice that it’s a video game thing. On one end of the spectrum of “nerdy to classy”, you’ve got your Master Chief Funko Pops and your cardboard cutouts of Mario; on the other end, you’ve got classical orchestral covers of the Final Fantasy soundtrack and…this.
Adamo, AKA Artista prolifico dell'argilla su Youtube, describes himself as someone who likes to “make tiny nerdy things”, and using a few points of inspiration, he decided to make a resin-and-clay model of Hokusai’s The Great Wave off Kanagawa, AKA “that one painting that everyone really, really likes”.
But we wouldn’t be writing about it if there wasn’t some video gamey twist on it, and that twist is combining the Great Wave with The Legend of Zelda: La sveglia del vento, putting the King of Red Lions in the place of one of the boats in the painting.
As we’ve already said, we’re pretty sure this is the kind of artwork that you could display in your home without your parents complaining about your “computer game crap” every time they come to visit. Sure, it would be nicer if they were accepting of your hobbies, but we can’t have everything.
Tuttavia, Adam has also made realistic Wario and Waluigi models, which we do non think your parents would approve of… but for different reasons, può essere.
Which other paintings would make great video game art? The Princess Peach with the Pearl Earring? The Mona Lara Croft? Fateci sapere nei commenti qui sotto!
