Ubisoft Quebec officially moved into its brand new, $4 million studio space today – and if you’re in Quebec City on May 29, you can get an up-close look at where the designers of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will be working from now on. As part of its grand opening, the 54,000-square-foot studio – designed to enable the creativity of its developers run wild – will host an open house, giving members of the public a chance to take part in 30-minute group tours, meet the creative team, learn more about how video games are created, and even discuss job opportunities with a Ubisoft recruiting team, who will be on hand to accept resumes.

Located at 585 East Charest Boulevard in Quebec City’s Saint-Roch neighborhood, the new studio was custom-designed with playground-like spaces, cutting-edge equipment, and plenty of room to grow as it expands to meet the challenges of AAA game production. The event will begin at noon on May 29 and run until 4 p.m., and visitors are encouraged to arrive early, as tour spots are limited and available on a first-come, primo servito.

“Things have really skyrocketed for us over the past decade, and the studio needed to have the infrastructure for us to continue innovating and pushing the bounds of creativity,” said Ubisoft Quebec’s managing director, Nicolas Rioux. “We started the Ubisoft adventure in Quebec City in 2005 con 30 young graduates, and we’re going to break the 400-employee mark by the end of the year.”

The studio space was built as part of a three-year, $28 million investment in Ubisoft Quebec, first announced in 2014, that will add 100 new jobs to Quebec City’s Saint-Roch neighborhood. To find out more about Ubisoft Quebec’s projects, check out our previous coverage:
