Life is Strange: Double Exposure Collector’s Box – a look inside
It’s not long now. Life is Strange: Double Exposure launches on October 29, 2024 – just a few weeks to go!
The game features the much-anticipated return of Max Caulfield, the protagonist of the original Life is Strange – a great opportunity for new players to get to know one of gaming’s most likable leading ladies, but also a real treat for fans of the series!
But Max’s return isn’t the only treat in store for Life is Strange aficionados. We also have a new Life is Strange: Double Exposure Collector’s Box. Designed to accompany the game (which is sold separately), it features some awesome items inspired by the new game, including an exclusive vinyl, artbook, pin badge and more.
Today we thought we’d take a closer look at the items included in the set because they really are very nice.
Let’s start with one that book looks and sounds incredible:
12-inch vinyl soundtrack
The Life is Strange games are known for their carefully curated soundtracks, which typically feature some of the best Indie bands around. It’s one of the reasons fans love the moments of quiet in the games – after all the high-stakes mysteries, emotional drama, and supernatural shenanigans, it’s a real joy to enjoy sit down, take breath, and listen to some wonderful music.

Mini-hardcover artbook
Life is Strange: Double Exposure is a beautiful game. Not just in terms of beautiful vistas (though rest assured, it has plenty of them), but also in how well it captures the feel of Caledon University and the people that work and study there.
That quality comes through in this new artbook, which features illustrations, concept art and other pictures from the game. You can see how Max and her new home sprung to life and enjoy eye-catching imagery from Deck Nine’s talented team of artists.
It’s all presented in a beautiful and high-quality hardcover book, which would look good on any coffee table. Just… don’t put your coffee on it – wouldn’t want to put rings on that lovely art, right?
4 double-side 12-inch Art Cards
These beautiful art cards features some of Caledon’s best and brightest, including:
-
Max – surely, she needs no introduction! Max is the protagonist of the game, and photographer-in-residence at Caledon. She must use her power to jump between timelines to solve the murder of her friend Safi – and prevent it from happening in another timeline.
-
Safi – Max’s close friend – an ambitious, sociable, and loyal ally in Max’s new life. She is tragically murdered in very mysterious circumstances but remains alive in another timeline… for now.
-
Moses – an astrophysicist in Caledon University’s Observatory. Moses is dedicated to science and his friends and is at his happiest when studying the night sky.
-
Amanda – the owner of the Snapping Turtle bar, and a huge advocate for music, art, and stand-up comedy. She’s a supportive friend for Max… but is she interested in something more?
But these cards hold a secret – they’re double-sided. One the back, you’ll find stunning shots of four more characters from the game:
-
Vinh – the secretary to the President of Caledon University’s, Yasmin, and remains the head of the secretive Abraxas Society, an artistic collective with a line in performance art.
-
Diamond – an aspiring director with a special interest in documentaries. She is also a member of the Abraxas Society, and a good friend to have – so long as you stay on her good side.
-
Lucas – an award-winning author who works at Caledon University. He is passionate about literature and himself – that arrogance has made him unpopular amongst his co-workers and his students.
-
Gwen – an author who works in the literature department at Caledon University. She loves live music, especially metal bands and often travels to shows with her wife.
A Replica of Max’s Owl Pin
If you’ve been paying attention to the trailers and previews for Life is Strange: Double Exposure, you’ll no doubt have noticed Max wearing this distinctive owl pin.
Well, now you can too! The pin has been reproduced from the game, cast in high-quality metal, and is included in the collector’s box. You can wear it to show your support for Life is Strange, kindle fond memories of the story once you’ve experienced the game, or just because it’s just a really nice badge!
A really lovely Collector’s box
All this comes packaged in a beautiful Collector’s Edition Goods Box, which showcases Max using her evolved powers to shift between different timelines.
With wraparound artwork, and a lovely matte finish, it’s an attractive piece in its own right – display it in your home, use it to store the above in the most organized and attractive way possible when you’re not using them, or even as very pretty home storage.
It really is a very lovely box.
The Life is Strange Collector’s Box is available to preorder exclusively from the Square Enix Store. It’s the perfect complement to the game (sold separately) and a must-have for any fans of the series.
Supplies are limited – once it’s gone, it’s gone – so order now to avoid disappointment.
The game is also available to preorder now for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Windows and Steam. A Nintendo Switch version of the game is also in development, with more information to be shared later.
