During this year’s Minecraft Live broadcast, Mojang unveiled its next big update for the ever-expanding sandbox, crafting and survival game.

It’s called ‘The Wild Update’ and will bring new gameplay, more depth and “lots of fun stuff” to the game. There’ll be mud, mangrove swamps, different types of frogs and tadpoles, and even boats with chests in them!

This update will now also include Deep Dark and warden – and because there’s so much content in this next update, it won’t be arriving until some point in 2022.

As for part two of the Caves & Cliffs update, it will be arriving in a month or two, according to the game’s developers. This update will expand worlds from top to bottom.
