Monster Hunter Rise Update To Add Free Armor And Weapons, With Paid ‘Voice DLC’

Monster Hunter Rise is still consistently providing regular free updates in the form of quests, various armors and weapons, along with a smaller number of paid DLCs. The latest batch will arrive in version 3.9 this week on 24th February, with the free update designed to help newer players get started.

As you can see in the trailer above it’ll include a set of ‘Defender’ weapons, a ‘Black Belt’ armor set and the ‘Veteran’s Talisman’, all designed to give you a helping hand early in the game. This official page gives a detailed lowdown.

This week’s update will also bring some paid DLC; like all previous non-free content it’s optional cosmetics, in this case voice packs for two characters – Selva and Paz.

If you like the character designs but don’t necessarily want to splash out for the voice packs, Capcom has provided customisation details on its website to recreate them.

Some nice additions to come this week, then, in particular the free weapons and armor if you’re still early in the game.

Now we really need to get the main campaign cleared before the release of the Sunbreak expansion in the Summer.
