Much Anticipated Horror RPG ‘Omori’ Has A Physical Edition On The Way
It’s often a trend in anticipated Indie games to have an eShop release and then, months later when many have cracked and bought the download, a special or limited physical edition is revealed. That won’t be the case with Omori, pleasingly, as it’s been confirmed that Fangamer will sell a physical edition for $34.99; pre-orders are open with shipping due to start on 17th June. Intriguingly the game still only has a ‘Spring’ window for the eShop, but presumably it’ll get a formal release date in the coming weeks.
Having released on Steam in December the game has had an extraordinary response, with over 30,000 user reviews being ‘overwhelmingly positive’. It’s a game that’s been intriguing since it was originally planned for 3DS, with EarthBound stylings and a ‘horror RPG’ approach. It seems to be one of those games with the creativity and writing to have a big impact on its players.
Explore a strange world full of colorful friends and foes. Navigate through the vibrant and the mundane in order to uncover a forgotten past. When the time comes, the path you’ve chosen will determine your fate… and perhaps the fate of others as well.
It’s not too long until it’ll grace the Switch; is it on your wishlist?
