Pinball FX3’s New Indiana Jones DLC Is Now Available, But It’s Kind Of Pricey
A digital remaster of a classic Indiana Jones pinball table made its debut yesterday in Pinball FX3 and while many appreciate the effort, a lot of the game’s community isn’t quite as happy about the asking price of this new DLC.
For just a single table, fans are being asked to fork out $14.99 / £13.49. While Pinball FX3 is a free-to-download title, the table DLC in the game doesn’t normally cost this much. In an official statement via social media, Zen Studios explained how it simply wanted to give fans the most “authentic experience” possible.
“We wanted to give you the most authentic experience with original music, sounds, and rules on the table just like on the real machine.”
While some fans aren’t so happy, others are a bit more accepting of the “licensing costs” – and the price a developer must pay (in this case, Zen Studios) to include Harrison Ford’s likeness:
If you’re willing to look past the price, here’s what you can expect from the “first-ever digital remaster” of this 1993 Williams table:
“Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure” combines a Williams legend with everyone’s favorite adventurer – enjoy the machine’s original music, sounds, rules and look in digital form for the first time.
Experience the table just as you remember it, with true-to-life Pro Physics simulation carefully developed by the pinball experts at Zen, using super slow-motion footage to capture flipper, rubber and ball movements to better understand and recreate pinball mechanics.
Discover the table in a new way with 3D effects in the ‘Enhanced’ version, including new art, ball trailer effects, particle effects and a whip-wielding Indiana Jones.
Play at home, with friends, or compete online with single-player, local multiplayer, challenge, and tournament modes.
