Star Trek: Bridge Crew Experience Launches Exclusively at IMAX VR Centres
Star Trek: Bridge Crew set a high bar for virtual-reality multiplayer earlier this year, with a cooperative experience that pushes four players to communicate and work in tandem to control a Starfleet vessel, the U.S.S. Aegis. Now, the Aegis is headed exclusively to IMAX VR Centres with Star Trek: Bridge Crew Rescue at Perseph, a streamlined version of the game that has been redesigned and optimized for IMAX VR.
Working together as a team to explore an uncharted sector of space, four players take on the crucial roles of captain, engineer, helm, and tactical to issue commands, direct the ship’s power, steer the Aegis, and control its weapons and shields, respectively. Star Trek: Bridge Crew Rescue at Perseph is available now at the IMAX VR Centre in Los Angeles, is coming soon to other locations in Shanghai and New York, and will be available at upcoming IMAX VR Centres in Toronto, the UK, and other locations worldwide. For more information, visit the official IMAX VR site.
Star Trek: Bridge Crew is also available now for PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift. To find out more, check out our previous coverage.
