We’re just two days away from the release of Mario Strikers: Battle League, the first Mario Strikers game in 15 years! And we can’t wait to get on the pitch, especially after getting a taste of the game’s online this past weekend.

And it looks like we have every reason to be excited! The very first review of the game has just dropped and Japanese publication Famitsu is seemingly very positive about Next Level Games’ return to the pitch. Using its typical four-person review system, the outlet has scored Mario Strikers: Battle League 32/40, with each reviewer giving the game an 8.

That’s a pretty solid number, which should hopefully mean we’re in for a treat this Friday. And given our own early impressions from when we managed to spend a bit of time with the game in May, we feel like this is going to be a good one.

Keep an eye out for our own thoughts on Mario Strikers: Battle League in the near future. In the meantime, share your thoughts on the demo and let us know how excited you are for the game in the comments!
