UK Charts: Mario Kart 8 Pulls Ahead As Splatoon 3 Continues To Drop
The latest UK boxed charts are finally here after a short delay, revealing that FIFA 23 has managed to maintain its chokehold on the gaming industry as it arrives in the number one spot once again.
For Nintendo titles, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to show its popularity, climbing the ladder to number two in its 286th week in the charts. This comes as a product of a slight fall for Splatoon 3, which this week has slipped into fourth place – not that this belittles its meteoric opening by any means.
Aside from the usual suspects of Nintendo Switch Sports, Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, this week also contains the surprise reappearance of the LEGO Harry Potter Collection, emerging from a puff of smoke at number six.
With no sales or notable price drops to speak of, we assume that this comes following the sad passing of Robbie Coltrane last week, best known for his role as Hagrid in the series. The news must have brought back memories of the franchise for many fans, as the game reemerges in the charts with 86% of sales going to the Switch (Xbox One accounts for 7% while Playstation 4 takes home 6%).
With all the news out of the way, here’s your look at the top ten for this week:
