Zone Wireless 2 Becomes First Headset to Earn Microsoft Teams’ Certification over Native Bluetooth® without a Dongle – logi BLOG

Zone Wireless 2 has been lauded by customers and the media for its standout qualities that make it a compelling choice for advanced users and executives who value AI noise suppression*, noise-canceling mics, and hybrid ANC to deliver outstanding audio in a modern design.

Adding to its impressive list of business certifications that include Certified for Microsoft Teams as a Premium Microphone for Open Office; Zoom; Google Meet; Google Voice with the USB-C receiver; Engineered for Intel® Evo™ Bluetooth® accessories program; and Fast Pair over native Bluetooth, Zone Wireless 2 has just earned the distinction of becoming the first partner headset Certified for Microsoft Teams over native Bluetooth® without a dongle.

“Zone Wireless 2 was tested for audio performance, call control, pairing stability, and Microsoft Teams button integration, both with and without the use of a USB dongle,” said Albert Kooiman, Senior Director Partner Engineering and Customer Experiences, “We found that the headset meets the high bar of Microsoft Teams standards of audio quality, including being optimized for use in an Open Office environment, as well as reliability to create an untethered experience for users, while also providing easy, no-configuration setup for administrators.”

The dongle-free option brings a host of benefits, including the convenience of one less thing to carry (or lose!) as people switch work environments from home, in the office, or on the go, while also freeing up a USB port. However, in crowded workspaces or for a dedicated connection when using multiple Bluetooth devices, users still have the option to plug in the dongle for extra assurance.

Certified for Teams devices include a dedicated Teams button and light indicator to notify users of events and alerts, such as when a meeting is starting, and the ability to activate Teams with a press of a button. Mute sync integration is one of the biggest benefits; whether you mute from the headset or the computer, both the Teams app and your headset will indicate that you are on mute.

On the administrator side, this certification means that IT teams need no additional configuration or provisioning to get headsets up and running, even for Bluetooth connection. “Zone Wireless 2 offers the best of both worlds: exceptional experience for users, and easy setup for IT managers. This combination reflects our joint Logitech and Microsoft commitment to making communication clear and keeping productivity high,” said Sudeep Trivedi, Head of Alliances and Go to Market at Logitech.

The headset features a two-way AI noise suppression system that can be switched on in the Logi Tune app. Advanced Call Clarity uses AI to isolate the voices of remote callers from background noise, ensuring you can hear your colleagues clearly—even if they are not wearing a noise-canceling headset.

Conversely, superior noise-canceling mics suppress distracting sounds and near conversations through advanced beamforming technology plus AI noise reduction that ensures colleagues hear your voice clearly as well.

Employees can further customize the listening experience to their hearing range based on a self-administered hearing test on Logi Tune mobile app. Additionally, Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) suppresses distracting sounds and adapts to environmental factors in real-time, allowing employees to focus on the task at hand.

Native Bluetooth-certified devices are supported on Windows PCs and require Windows 11. Zone Wireless 2 will be available in the US here by early February and globally through authorized resellers by early March for $249.99, or update your existing Zone Wireless 2 via the Logi Tune app here.
